The upcoming Tamil movie "Kaaviya Thalaivan", starring Siddharth, Prithviraj and Vedhika in the lead is set to release on 14 November. The film is expected to make a mark in the box office.

"Getting ready for the best year end! #KaaviyaThalaivan releases worldwide on November 14. #Ennakuloruvan ready for release too. I'm waiting!," tweeted excited Siddharth.

"Kaaviya Thalaivan", directed by Vasanthabalan is touted as a period drama. The film has received "U" certificate from the Indian Censor Board and the story revolves around the lives of theatre artistes and a drama troupe during 1920's and 1930's in Tamil Nadu.

Siddarth will play the lead role, while Prithviraj will be seen in a negative role. Vedhika's character is being inspired from popular stage artist and singer KB Sundarambal.

Meanwhile, Siddharth is also excited about his latest release "Jigarthanda". The film was a huge box office success and is now considered as one of the finest Tamil movie in the recent time. Besides "Kaaviya Thalaivan", Siddharth is awaiting the release of his psychological thriller "Enakkul Oruvan" directed by debutant Prasad Ramar.

On Diwali day, "Kaaviya Thalaivan" team had released its trailer, which received an overwhelming response from the audience. The trailer indicates that the film has patriotic fervour elements too.

Another highlight of "Kaaviya Thalaivan" is AR Rahman's music. Reportedly, the composer did a detailed research on Tamil theatre music of 1920's. The film has seven original songs and 14 bit songs.

The upcoming period drama also has Anaika Soti, Nassar, Thambi Ramaiah, Ponvannan, Babu Antony, Singampuli and Mansoor Ali Khan in pivotal roles.

"Kaaviya Thalaivan" is jointly produced by Y Not Studios and Reliance Media group and is distributed by Dream Factory.
