Actress Shruti Haasan, who has six films in her kitty this year, will be celebrating her 29th birthday on Wednesday, 28 January with her fans on social media.

The actress has asked her fans to send details and pictures of a good deed they have done in their life. 

"The best gift is being there for someone who needs you. Hence this year for my birthday, I'm asking my fans to gift me a good birthday by being kind to someone who really needs it. The fans and audience are the reason why you are who you are, so why not celebrate them and their deeds on my birthday," the actress said in a statement, according to IANS.

The actress has also tweeted about it and asked fans to send details by tagging @TalentMantra and @Bazinga_Ent on Twitter.

Following this, fans of the "Poojai" actress have started sending pictures of the good deeds they have done. 

The actress, who was recently seen shaking a leg with Arjun Kapoor for a song in "Tevar", believes that "the greatest gift is the gift of giving."

A source close to the actress said that she has planned to celebrate this special online birthday as she has always believed in doing things that help to make a difference in the lives of other people. 

The actress, who is also a singer and musician, made her acting debut in 2000 in a cameo role in the Hindi-Tamil bilingual film "Hey Ram".

On the career front, Shruti, who is Kamal Haasan and Sarika's daughter, will be seen opposite Akshay Kumar in "Gabbar", with John Abraham in "Rocky Handsome" and "Welcome Back" and opposite Vidyut Jammwal in "Yaara". She will also be working with Vijay and Mahesh Babu in untitled Tamil and Telugu films.
