Actress Shriya Saran, who last appeared in Hindi film, Zila Ghaziabad, is gearing up to make her comeback to Bollywood. She will be seen as Ajay Devgn's wife in Hindi remake of "Drishyam".

Kumar Mangat, who has bought the rights of Malayalam film "Drishyam", is producing the remake of the blockbuster movie. The producer has confirmed the news about casting Shriya Saran for the untitled movie. "Yes, we are happy to have Shriya on board. She fits the role perfectly," The Times of India quoted Kumar as saying.

"Drishyam" is a drama thriller film written and directed by Jeethu Joseph. The movie is about a man's desperate measures to save his wife and daughter, who commit an unexpected crime. Besides earning huge prospects at box office, the film has also bagged many awards.

The movie has already been remade and released as "Drishya" in Kannada and "Drushyam" in Telugu version. Both the versions have proved to be big hit at the box office. It is also being remade in Tamil as "Papanasam" featuring Kamal Haasan and Gautami Tadimalla in the lead roles. Its makers are yet to announce its release date.

Nishikant Kamat, who has earlier directed John Abraham's "Force", is working on the Hindi version of "Drishyam". Ajay Devgn will play the hero originally essayed by Malayalam superstar Mohanlal. Shriya Saran has been roped in to play his wife originally reprised by Meena in the Malayalam versions. Tabu has been signed in to essay the role of a police officer in the Bollywood version.

The makers of the Hindi remake of "Drishyam" are yet to finalise other cast and crew members. They are expected to complete all the pre-production works soon and kick-start its shooting. The movie will be shot in Goa and Hyderabad in March.
