Action film, "Shootout at Wadala" based on the book "Dongri to Dubai" written by journalist Hussain Zaidi, had a terrific start at the box office on the first day.

The film made a collection of approximately ₹10.1 crore at the domestic box office on the day of its release. The film has emerged as one of the biggest openers this year after "Himmatwala" and "Race 2".

"Race 2" and "Himmatwala" raked in ₹15.12 crore and ₹12 crore respectively on the first day at domestic box offices.
