John Abraham-Kangna starrer "Shooutout At Wadala" is going strong at the box office.

"Shooutout At Wadala", a crime drama which was released on 3 May, has collected ₹3.5 crore on Wednesday. "#ShootoutAtWadala Wednesday ₹3.56 cr. Rock-steady!" trade analyst and film critic Taran Adarsh tweeted.

The film opened to a good response and fared well during the first weekend. It collected approximately ₹30.7 cr net in its opening weekend. Even during the weekdays, the film is performing well at the box office. While it earned ₹4.45 crore on Monday, Tuesday's collections witnessed a 10 percent fall and the film garnered ₹3.90 crore. On Wednesday (8 May), "Shootout At Wadala" raked in ₹3.56 crore.

Adding weekend as well as weekday collections, the film has collected a total of ₹42.61 crore in 6 days. "Shootout At Wadala" is also doing good business at the overseas box office. Gangster films with lot blood and gore do not work in foreign shores. But, this film has surprised everybody by receiving tremendous response in foreign countries.

"#ShootoutAtWadala *opening weekend* UK £ 84,244 [₹ 70.91 lacs] ... USA $ 208,000 [₹ 1.13 cr] ... UAE AED 1.5 million [₹ 2.21 cr]," Taran had earlier tweeted.

"#ShootoutAtWadala *opng wknd* Australia A$ 67,772 [₹ 37.61 lacs]... New Zealand NZ$ 14,858 [₹ 6.86 lacs]... Fiji FJD 13,063 [₹ 4.01 lacs]," he said.

According to a report in Bollywood Hungama, the producers of the film are already in the profit zone. A certain amount of the film's investment has been recovered from India distribution rights (a few territories have been retained by the film's producers from Balaji Telefilms), overseas sales, satellite rights and music.

Sources have revealed that the film's satellite rights have been sold for ₹22 crore as a package deal along with "Ek Thi Daayan" and "Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai Again" - films which are produced by Balaji, reported The Times of India.

The John Abraham-starrer directed by Sanjay Gupta is a sequel to the 2007 hit "Shootout at Lokhandwala". In addition to John and Kangna, "Shootout at Wadala" has several popular actors playing supporting roles. The film's star cast includes Anil Kapoor, Tusshar Kapoor, Jackie Shroff, Manoj Bajpai, Ronit Roy and Mahesh Manjrekar.
