The shooting of Priyadarshan's upcoming movie, which will star Prakash Raj in the lead, will kick-start on August 10 in Chennai and will wrap up in record-breaking 20 days. The movie, with a social message, will be a laugh riot, the director promised.

The film is about eight characters who arrive at a pathology lab at 9 am to give their blood samples for AIDS test. "The movie depicts the events of the day till 5 pm, when they get their results. The twist in the end will leave everyone teary-eyed," Priyadarshan said.

He decided to make a film on AIDS since people have an aversion towards the topic, Priyadarshan said. "None will come to watch a documentary on AIDS. That's why I have woven a story around AIDS, which is the central plot," the hitmaker told IANS.

Besides Prakash Raj, the movie also has Ashok Selvan, Shreya Reddy, Nassar and several stage artists from Tamil Nadu.

The director is planning to rope in Oscar winner A R Rahman to compose the background score. "There will be no songs in the film. The duration of the film will be 100 minutes. Once I finish the shoot, I will show it to Rahman and if he agrees, he will be doing the background score," said Priyadarshan.

Santosh Sivan will handle the camera and editing will be done by Beena Paul. Sabu Cyril will take care of the art department.

The movie, produced by filmmaker A L Vijay, will hit the screens this year. "I will release the film this year, but there will be an international premiere, first," Priyadarshan added.
