Meanwhile, "Killing Veerappan" has done stupendous business in the first weekend. The Kannada version was released on 1 January and has got good reviews from the critics and the audience.

As per the buzz, "Killing Veerappan" has minted above Rs 10 crore in the first weekend in Karnataka and the Telugu version is set to hit screens on 7 January.

"Killing Veerappan" is a thriller directed by Ram Gopal Varma. The movie has been simultaneously made in Telugu and Kannada, and has also been dubbed in Hindi. Shivaraj Kumar plays the role of a cop, who hatches a plan to kill the forest brigand.

Sandeep Bharadwaj plays the role of Veerappan. Parul Yadav and Yagna Shetty are playing key roles in the flick, which also has Sadh Orhan, Gadda Viji, Sanchari Vijay and others in the cast. Leading producer Rockline Venkatesh has done a cameo in the flick.
