Ajay Devgn's Shivaay (Shivay) fared well at the worldwide box office on Tuesday and its global collection has inched closer to the mark of Rs 100 crore in five days.

Amidst huge hype and promotion, Shivaay was released in over 3,000 screens across the globe on October 28. Despite clashing with Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, the movie had a decent opening and collected Rs 10.24 crore nett at the Indian box office on the first day. The movie showed some amount of drop in its collection on Saturday and Sunday, due to mixed word of mouth and Diwali festivities.

The Ajay Devgn-directed action thriller witnessed a big leap on Monday and its fourth day collection almost equalled to that of its counterpart Ae Dil Hai Mushkil. Though it showed a drop on Tuesday, its business was bigger than its opening day collection. Shivaay has surpassed Rs 50 crore mark in the domestic market in five days.

The movie grossed Rs 56.96 crore nett at the Indian box office in five days and its domestic total stood at Rs 79.11 crore till Tuesday. As per the current trend, the movie is expected to rake in Rs 15 crore in the next two days and its first-week domestic gross collection is likely to reach Rs 95 crore.

When compared to Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, Shivaay was released in a limited number of screens in key international markets. The film opened to a good response in all the foreign countries and remained strong on the following days. The movie is estimated to have grossed Rs 7 crore at the overseas box office in five days.

Shivaay has collected approximately over Rs 86 crore gross at the worldwide box office in five days. The movie needs Rs 14 crore gross to surpass the mark of Rs 100 crore gross in the global market. The film is set to collect this amount and cross the mark by the end of its opening week, according to experts from the industry.
