Playboy cover girl Sherlyn Chopra's worst nightmare came true when the vintage sets of her upcoming film "Kamasutra 3D" were gutted down on Thursday.
According to media reports, the crewmembers of the film, including actress Sherlyn Chopra, were camping out at the Thoothukudi Old Harbour in Tamil Nadu when the set - created atop a large barge rested near the port - caught fire.
The incident happened a little after midnight, when the team of "Kamasutra 3D" was woken up by a commotion, which later turned out to be a massive fire on board. Sources told Midday that the entire set has been gutted down.
"Things aren't going as planned for Rupesh Paul's film. The makers have agreed to pay the owner of the boat for damages amounting to R 1.5 lakh," an onlooker told the tabloid.
Unfortunately for the actress, who is looking forward to make a debut in Bollywood with "Kamasutra 3D", the film is likely to suffer a setback due to the incident. "It will take a long time for the new set to come up," said an anonymous source.
Delaying the production might affect the publicity of "Kamasutra 3D" as the first look of the actress was recently revealed. After riding a horse naked, the Kamasutra girl appeared wearing nothing in the poster of the film. Sherlyn Chopra had her legs wrapped around a pillar in a palace with just a thin slit of a pink dupatta swaying freely in the frame.
Model-turned-actor King Malkhan will play the male lead opposite Sherlyn in "Kamasutra 3D", director Rupesh Paul had announced during the 66th Cannes Film Festival where the second trailer of the film was released.
