The makers of the comedy flick "The Shaukeen" have unveiled the trailer on 27 September. Directed by Abhishek Sharma, the film is the remake of Basu Chatterjee's 1982 comedy film with the same title.

In the remake, Akshay Kumar plays a short but an important role, while Lisa Haydon plays opposite Kumar. The film revolves around three oldies played by veteran actors Anupam Kher, Annu Kapoor and Piyush Mishra who are out for some fun.

The promo introduces the three main characters of the film, Laali played by Kher, Kapoor as KD and Pinky played by Mishra, who want to add a little spice to their boring lives and plans for a Mauritius trip.

From the promo, it appears like all the senior actors have justified their roles in a hilarious point of view, especially, Kapoor who has stolen the limelight with his funny antics.

Kumar, for the first time in his career, will play himself in the film. However, some negative elements have been added to the actor's character. Kumar will be seen as an arrogant and alcoholic superstar. In one such instances, Kumar is seen throwing off his fan's camera and ask her to seek his permission before clicking his picture.

Haydon, who was last seen in the blockbuster film "Queen", looks sizzling hot in the trailer. She plays the lead role who is obsessed with the superstar Kumar. The sexy lady makes a fabulous entry while the oldies were out for some fun.

"I am playing my own self just that we have put a negative track to my character. I am shown drinking alcohol which I don't in real life. We wanted to add some colour to my character and I had fun playing the part," the "Entertainment" actor told The Times of India.

Going by the three minute promo, the film looks promising that would take the viewers for a fun ride with the funny oldies, who in their course of exotic vacation, lands in some hilarious situations.

The film, directed by Abhishek Sharma of "Tere Bin Laden" fame, is touted to be a "coming-of-age" movie. The comedy film is scheduled to hit the big screens on 7 November.
