Veteran Bollywood actor Shashi Kapoor was honoured with Dadasaheb Phalke Award at Prithvi Theatre in Mumbai on Sunday.
He is the 46th person to receive this prestigious award in Indian Cinema, conferred by the government. He received this award from the Union Information and Broadcasting Minister Arun Jaitley for his contribution to the development of the film industry.
Shashi Kapoor could not attend the official ceremony in Delhi due to ill health. Meanwhile, the entire Kapoor clan was present at the ceremony in Mumbai along with several Bollywood celebs.
Megastar Amitabh Bachchan, along with his son Abhishek, graced the event. Big B, Ranbir Kapoor, Rishi Kapoor, and other members also shared their memories on stage.
However, Kareena Kapoor Khan was missing from the award ceremony. Her husband Saif Ali Khan was present, who was seen giving company to sister-in-law Karisma Kapoor.
