Actor Nikhil Siddharth has thanked his fans for making his latest outing "Shankarabharanam" (Sankarabharanam) his highest grosser at the box office in the opening weekend.

"Shankarabharanam" was released in 650 screens across the globe on 4 December. The film opened to decent response, but the mixed word of mouth took a toll on its business. The film is estimated to have collected Rs 7 crore gross at the worldwide box office in the first weekend. It has broken the opening weekend records of his previous hits like "Swamy Ra Ra", "Karthikeya" and "Surya vs Surya".

Nikhil Siddhartha took to Twitter to thank his fans for the success of "Shankarabharanam". He wrote: "I would also like to THANK The Telugu Audience for giving us Such a Fantastic Opening Weekend... Highest 4 me.. Thanks for the Love _/_ The Revenues have been announced by the Producer nd Distributors and I have realised the goodwill all of you have on me... Feel Blessed... (sic)"

Nikhil, however,  admitted that "Shankarabharanam" has some drawbacks. The actor tweeted: "SB has its flaws but the target audience have found it super Entertaining.. It was a conscious attempt to do a full Entertainer for a change. I'm going 2 be Working Harder nd Harder 2 Deliver Good Films that will Impress u nd will all be Different from each other. Its a promise :-) (sic)"

Thrilled, Nikhil has set out on the success tour, and visited the Rajdhani and Bramharamba theatres on Monday, 7 December. Later, he tweeted, Here r a few pics from Rajdhani nd Bramharamba theatres I visited 3rd day SB... Full Houses.. _/_" Later, he added, "Mssg from ShankaraBharanam Guntur Distribution... Monday morning nd Matines Passing the Test.. Its similar all over (sic)"
