Shahid Kapoor and Mira Rajput's wedding on 7 July was a low-key affair with only a few friends and family members attending it. However, the lavish reception held at The Oberoi Hotel, Gurgaon wasn't along similar lines. Reportedly, 400 guests arrived at the venue to bless the newlyweds.
While some pictures from the party went viral, there's a few seconds long wedding clip, which is being shared widely on social media. Also, a bunch of dance videos from the sangeet and haldi ceremony are up online for fans to watch.
Neelima Azeem, Shahid's mother, is overwhelmed with the love the just-married couple has received from people. "All new relationships a woman fosters after her marriage is because of her first born. I was a proud mother, and now a proud mother-in-law," she told The Asian Age.
Pankaj Kapoor too appeared in a mood for celebration. "We are very happy. Our daughter-in-law is very beautiful. It is a celebration time for our family," The Indian Express quoted him as saying.
In other news, the suave actor will throw a grand party for his industry friends on 12 July, in Mumbai.
