It's not only clash of movies at the box office, but also the trailers of Khan films. Apparently, Aamir Khan's "P.K" (Peekay) trailer and Shah Rukh Khan's "Happy New Year" (HNY) trailer is set to release on the same day in August.

The trailer launch date of Shah Rukh's "Happy New Year" was announced on 8 July. The first official promo of the film will be attached with Ajay Devgn's "Sigham Returns," which will release on 15 August.

Almost a week later, there were reports that Aamir's "P.K" trailer will be attached with Salman Khan's "Kick," which is set to release on 25 July.

"Salman recently met Aamir and they decided that 'P.K.'s trailer will be out with 'Kick.' Both the films are backed by Disney," an industry source told Mid-Day.

But the recent reports suggest that Aamir will release the first promo of his film on Independence Day. The "Dhoom 3" actor is also planning a big launch to release the trailer of his film.

"Aamir plans to give out the first look of 'P.K' on 15 August, the same day as 'Happy New Year' teaser will be attached with 'Singham Returns.' He is planning to have an event to launch the promo," a source told Bollywoodlife.com.

"What is interesting is the fact that he's putting a teaser out in August for a film that comes out in December! This move is definitely going to be scrutinised and analysed by industry insiders and trade experts."

This is not the first time Aamir has tried to steal Shah Rukh's thunder. In 2008, Aamir came up with a unique promotion strategy when SRK's "Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi" (RNBDJ) was released.

Aamir was promoting his film "Ghajini" when "RNBDJ" was released in December. The "Dhoom 3" actor convinced the theatre ushers to shave their head like he did in "Ghajini" so that audience who would go to watch films would see "Ghajini" promotion as well.

Both the Khans are known for promoting their films in a unique way. But if reports of Aamir planning a big event to release his trailer on 15 August, then it would not only steal SRK's thunder but might also affect "Singham Returns" opening day collection.
