Salman Khan, who has recorded the song "Main hoon hero tera" for the movie "Hero" in his own voice, feels that he sings better than Shah Rukh Khan.

Salman is known for his candid comments and at a promotional event of his production venture "Hero", the superstar claimed that he would win if there is a singing contest between him and SRK.

Singer Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, who has sung one of the songs in the film, was asked who, according to him, was a better singer  - Salman or Shah Rukh. "I have heard only Salman Khan's song. I am yet to hear Shah Rukh Khan's song. Salman bhai can sing himself," said the singer.

While Fateh Ali Khan offered a diplomatic reply, Salman interrupted him and said: ""There is no chance! It's a losing battle. I have heard... Both Shah Rukh and Aamir will let me win. No doubt on that," Salman said, according to IANA.

The "Prem Ratan Dhan Payo" actor is amazed that the song "Main hoon hero tera" has become so popular.

"An idiot like me sung well. I don't know sur (tune), beat but the song is getting so many hits. I used to repeat what the singers would sing and then sing," said Salman.

Earlier, Salman sang the song "Hangover" for his blockbuster "Kick" and the track became an instant hit.

Directed by Nikhil Advani, the movie "Hero" features debutants Sooraj Pancholi and Athiya Shetty, while Salman is the producer of the film. The film is slated to be released on 11 September.
