At 49, Shah Rukh Khan is still the king of hearts.
Ringing in his special day with the fans, SRK waved out to the hysteric crowd waiting outside his palatial bungalow, Mannat, in Mumbai. The superstar, who just finished his post-release promotions of "Happy New Year" on Saturday, took to Twitter to express his joy on witnessing the madness. "So many beautiful people outside Mannat. Thank you all for celebrating my birthday with such ownership and love. Very humbling..."
Also, as promised, he threw a party attended by industry friends and family members. Hrithik Roshan, Varun Dhawan, Mika Singh, Anupam Kher and Ranveer Singh among others were reportedly present at the bash.
The superstar, whose birthdays are usually a low key affair, once said he loves unwrapping gifts. But when wife-producer Gauri Khan was quizzed on what she wishes to give the husband this birthday, the answer to it was a surprising one. "He gives me gifts that I happily accept, but I never gift him anything in return... and that is the rule," Hindustan Times quoted her as saying.
However, November 2 is not just another day for this man's ever-expanding fanclub, it's a reason for celebration. From wearing T-shirts with the actor's face to cutting cakes, they've done it all. The social media is peppered with birthday wishes and his followers have managed to trend the day on Twitter using #HappyBirthdaySRK.
