Shah Rukh Khan and Anushka Sharma could spell magic on the big screen again with their sparkling chemistry. The actress has been approached for Imtiaz Ali's next, which also stars the superstar.

Anushka has shown interest in the untitled project and is keen to take it up after she finishes her current work commitments, which includes shooting for "Sultan" and "Ae Dil Hai Mushkil," Mumbai Mirror reported.

The untitled film is said to be a comedy, which will see SRK portray a turbaned Sikh tourist in the UK. His misadventures in the country and interactions with British nationals, and his journey back home (Punjab) will apparently form the base of the plot.

"SRK will be seen as a turbaned tourist in the UK. His innocent interactions with the Britishers and his adventurous return to India form the premise of the film," a source told the leading daily.

Although Shah Rukh didn't confirm the reports of him starring in Imtiaz's film when asked on the sidelines of HT Most Stylish Awards 2016, buzz suggests the filmmaker is on his way to finalising the script. Set in London and Punjab, the film will roll once SRK is done with Gauri Shinde's yet-to-be-titled project.

SRK and Anushka have done two films together so far — "Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi (2008) and "Jab Tak Hai Jaan" (2012). Both saw them play lovers. The Aditya Chopra directorial saw Anushka playing the reluctant wife, Taani Sahni, to Surinder Singh, while Yash Chopra's "JTHJ" saw her as chirpy journalist Akira Rai, who fell head-over-heels in love with army officer Samar Aanand.

In other news, SRK also has two films lined up for release — Maneesh Sharma's "Fan," which arrives in theatres April 15, and Rahul Dholakia's "Raees," which has been blocked for Eid. Anushka has "Phillauri" on the cards with Punjabi star Diljit Dosanjh.
