Romantic flick "Kuch Kuch Hota Hai" (K2H2), which has received an iconic status, will now be made into a television serial, according to reports. The all time blockbuster directed by Karan Johar is one of the most watched Bollywood films ever.

The TV show will be titled "Jhalli Anjali Ke Toote Sapne ki Amazing Story" and will air on Channel V, according to Pinkvilla.com.    

The show will tell the story of a girl, who resembles Anjali (played by Kajol) of "Kuch Kuch Hota Hai".

The makers have signed television actress Chandni Bhagwanani for the lead role, who was last seen in the show "Amita Ka Amit".

Rose Audio Visuals along with writer and lyricist Niranjan Iyengar will produce the serial. Iyengar has worked with Johar in films including "Kal Ho Naa Ho", "Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna", "My Name Is Khan" and "Student of the Year".

However, in television industry this serial is his first venture.

The serial will be shot in Delhi since Bhagwanani is from the capital city.

"Kuch Kuch Hota Hai" ruled at the box office when it was released in 1998. The film was declared an "all time blockbuster" and went on to win several awards including Best Film, Best Director, Best Actor and Best Actress.

The film is now often aired on television and still manages to win the audiences' heart. But it remains to be seen whether the show will create the same magic on television.
