The trailer of one of the most awaited films of the year "Chennai Express" starring Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone will be launched on 13 June.
Announcing the release of the trailer, makers of "Chennai Express" tweeted, "Blockbuster #ChennaiExpress Trailer starring @iamsrk & @deepikapadukone will launch on June 13th."
"9 days to go to the most awaited film trailer in the year! #ChennaiExpress RT if you can't stop thinking abou it! #ReadySteadyPo!," another tweet stated.
According to earlier reports, the trailer of "Chennai Express" was expected to be launched during the final match of Indian Premier League (IPL), which was held in Kolkata's Eden Garden Stadium. But much to the disappointment of fans, the makers did not release the trailer at the event over reasons yet to be ascertained.
Directed by Rohit Shetty, the much-hyped film is set to hit screens on 8 August, coinciding with the release of Akshay Kumar's "Once Upon A Time In Mumbai Again".
After a very long time, Shah Rukh will be seen performing some hard core action stunts in "Chennai Express". The actor is said to have done most of the daring sequences in the film without the need for any stuntmen. During the filming of one such stunt, the actor injured his shoulder and had to go for surgery on 28 May.
With "Chennai Express" being Shah Rukh's first film of the year, his fans are eagerly waiting for the release. "Chennai Express" also marks the on screen reunion of Shah Rukh and Deepika who were last paired in Farah Khan's "Om Shanti Om".
The title track teaser of "Chennai Express" sung by SP Balasubramaniam who made a comeback to Bollywood after 15 years, was released on 23 May.
