After the news of Aadesh Shrivastava battling cancer broke, several Bollywood celebrities visited the music composer in hospital.

Shah Rukh Khan and "Jazba" actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan paid a visit to the music composer and his family on Wednesday.

"The Bachchans and Aadesh's families go back a long way. Aishwarya dropped in today and conveyed her warm wishes to Aadesh," The Indian Express quoted a source as saying.

Shah Rukh, who has worked with the music director in the film "Chalte Chalte", considers Shrivastava as his family member. Shrivastava, who is in critical condition, recognised Shah Rukh and shared a warm camaraderie, The Indian Express reported.

Shrivastava's cancer has relapsed and he is undergoing treatment at Mumbai's Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital.

A professional who worked with Shrivastava revealed to Radioandmusic.com that in 2011, when he was diagnosed with cancer, the music composer sold his car for his treatment.

However, recently his family cleared the air and said that they don't need financial help.

"We are not seeking help from the industry. We don't need money, we need prayers from people. We don't need funds and we have never asked for funds from anybody," Shrivastava's brother-in-law and composer Lalit Pandit told IANS over the phone.

Lalit also dismissed reports that the family has approached a Himachal Pradesh-based Tibetan monk Yeshi Dhonden, who is well known for curing cancer using ancient Tibetan herbal therapies.
