The Indian stock market traded lower due to profit booking, lower Asian stocks, decline in crude oil prices and announcement of Foreign exchange and Bank Credit data on Friday.

Sensex opened 14.71 points lower at 26257.14 points against its previous closing of 26271.85 points, while the Nifty opened 2.4 points lower at 7828.20 points against its previous closing figure at 7830.20 points.

The Rupee opened lower at 60.13 a dollar versus its previous closing of 60.11 per dollar on Thursday. The rupee ended weaker after hitting one-and-a-half week high on Thursday.

At 11:10 am, Sensex and Nifty fell 0.44 percent and 0.41 percent. Only stock price BSE FMCG and Healthcare appeared to be surging among all Indian stock indices. FMCG recorded 31.65 points higher at 7138.03 points and Healthcare stock recorded 112.78 points higher at 12024.04 points during trading hours on Thursday.

Asian stocks fell from this week's three-year high on Thursday after trading low on Wall Street and upbeat US unemployment data. Hang Seng index plunged 0.06 percent at 24127.14 points. The MSCI's index of Asia-Pacific shares outside Japan fell 0.3 percent, but Nikkei surged 1 percent at 11:30 am on Thursday.

"The prospect for the global economy has not been too bad thanks to recently strong U.S. shares and China data, but we should not be overly optimistic," Reuters quoted Norihiro Fujito, senior investment strategist at Mitsubishi UFJ Morgan Stanley.

He added that the investors are waiting for better trading, after IMF cut its 2014 forecast for global economic growth.
