A senior Taliban commander, who has a bounty of $1 million on his head, was reportedly found to have been using LinkedIn, a business networking site, where he advertised his 'unique skill sets' besides using it as a platform for recruiting jihadists.

Ehsanullah Ehsan, who used to be with the terror group ― Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan, which most recently carried out the Peshawar military school attacks, killing over 100 students ― lists 'jihad and journalism' as his unique skills on LinkedIn.

The Telegraph, which first reported the story, found that Ehsanullah Ehsan, had 69 connections on LinkedIn. On his profile, he stated that he has been the spokesperson for TTP Jammat-ul-Ahrar, a splinter group of the Taliban.

Ehsan, who is listed as one of the world's most notorious terrorist leaders, has even provided details of his schooling, employment history and language skills. His LinkedIn profile also includes his photograph.

Pakistan authorities have placed a $1 million (£650,000) bounty on Ehsan's head after he boasted of Tehreek-e-Taliban's responsibility for the attempted assassination of Malala Yousafzai, who was shot in the head in October 2012.

After the attack, he said: "She was pro-West, she was speaking against Taliban and she was calling President Obama her idol. She was young, but she was promoting Western culture in Pashtun areas."

Ehsan, who also used to have aTwitter account @Ehsanullahihsan till he got banned, stated in October 2014: "Characters like Malala should know that we r not deterred by propaganda of Kuffar. We have prepared sharp& shiny knives fo the enemy of Islam."

He was spokesman for Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), the Pakistan wing of the Taliban, till August last year, when he along with other former commanders of the TTP, formed TTP Jammat-ul-Ahrar.

On his LinkedIn page, he describes TTP Jammat-ul-Ahrar as his current employer. The group's leader, Omar Khalid Khorasani, is said to be a ruthless man and has been compared in terms of his brutality to that of Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, the leader of Islamic State (ISIS).

Ehsan's LinkedIn account has been suspended ever since the revelation.
