Virender Sehwag's witty, sharp and incisive humorous tweets on social media may have made as great a Twitter personality as the swashbuckling batsman he was, but sometimes, well, some of his humour does come as a puzzling one for the Twitter users!

To cite an instance on Tuesday May 2, just like he does on any other day, as his routine has been, Sehwag wished West Indies cricket legend Brian Lara on his birthday, but left the social media users questioning his choice of words in the Twitter post! Read the The Tweet that cooked up a social media storm.

Reactions followed...

being naturally funny is one thing, and trying really hard to be funny cuz you need to keep it going is another.. this tweet reeks of that . [sic]

What does 'BC' in Lara stand for?

In India, 'BC', well, is an oft-used abbreviation for all the wrong reasons! Therefore, to clear things soon, Sehwag posted yet another tweet to tell the ignorant Twitter users the real meaning of 'BC'.

And gung ho, Sehwag was soon cheered again for his choice of humour.
