Rajouri, June 25 (ANI): Security arrangements were beefed up for the annual Hindu pilgrimage of Amarnath Yatra in Jammu and Kashmir to ensure the safety of devotees. Thousands of pilgrims undertake this journey to the shrine cave to worship an ice stalagmite called Shivlinga, believed to be the symbol of Lord Shiva. Director General of Police, Jammu and Kashmir, K. Rajendra Kumar, said they have made elaborate security arrangements to ensure safety of the pilgrims. Meanwhile, Kumar said the forces are equipped to tackle any sort of infiltration bid too.
