Red Bull's Sebastian Vettel entered history by winning the inaugural Indian Formula One Grand Prix today (Oct 30). He won the championship quite comfortable , finishing 8.4 seconds ahead of Jenson Button, who was placed second in the competition.

The 24-year-old German started the race from pole position and led every lap besides setting the fastest lap. The India grand prix is the 11th victory in 17 races this season for the double world champion. "Yes boys, yes we did. New track, new challenge," he celebrated on the team radio.

Britain's Jenson Button fought really well to cling the second place for McLaren. The 2009 world champion race passed Fernando Alonso and Mark Webber while they were trying to overtake each other. Ferrari's Fernando Alonso finished third, Red Bull's Mark Webber finished fourth and seven-time champion Michael Schumacher finished fifth. Home team Force India's Adrian Sutil finished ninth.
