Olivia and Fitz reunited in the season 4 finale of ABC's "Scandal" and the season 5 premiere saw them enjoying their time together by getting intimate.

However, things took a turn for the worse when someone leaked their private pictures to the public. Once again, there's heavy scrutiny on Olivia and Fitz's relationship, and it seems unlikely she will be able to spin the entire incident as a rumour the way she did in season 3 when their relationship caught media attention.

This time around, Olivia will decide to leave Washington D.C. to maintain distance from Fitz.

In a preview of Thursday's episode, Olivia is seen leaving the White House through an underground tunnel and telling Fitz that she had to leave when she could. She also tells the President that she'll get in touch with him once she has a plan.

Olivia and Fitz shippers don't need to worry, as the duo isn't separating for good. According to the official synopsis of "Yes", the second episode of the season, a new case is what will keep the duo apart.

"The Pope and Associates team dives into a new case that takes Olivia out of D.C. and away from the President. Meanwhile, back at the White House, Fitz is determined to find who's responsible for causing the latest turn of events, and Abby receives unexpected guidance from a master of damage control as she struggles to catch a break," the synopsis reads.

As for who leaked the pictures, actor Guillermo Diaz believes it could be the President's wife.

"I think it was Mellie that leaked it," Diaz told Entertainment Weekly. "Because it'll make her seem like the wife who has been wronged. People are going to be sympathetic to her and like her a little bit more because they feel bad for her, and look at Olivia like she's a whore and this horrible mistress."

"Scandal" season 5, episode 2 will be aired on Thursday, 1 October at 9 pm ET on ABC. Those who cannot get to a television can watch the episode live at ABC.go.com, provided they have a subscription with a participating network provider.
