Actor Aamir Khan's TV debut venture "Satyamev Jayate," which went on air at 11 am Sunday, got a positive response from Bollywood. The first episode of the TV talk show dealt with female foeticide issue.
During the launch of "Satyamev Jayate" in Mumbai in April, the 47-year-old actor said, "I am always scared to walk a new path and be different. I have no idea how TRPs are calculated. This show is more about connecting with audiences than the TRPs."
Reacting to the first day first show of the talk show which was simultaneously aired on STAR TV and Doordarshan, actress, Preity Zinta tweeted: "Watching Aamir Khan on Satyamev Jayate discussing Female Foeticide! I love this effort from him & thank him as a Woman!"
Many Bollywood celebrities took to Twitter to appreciate Aamir for his initiatives and to bestow their positive responses.

Meanwhile, the official website of the show crashed after the programme was aired. "Thank you for your overwhelming response to 'Satyamev Jayate'. Unfortunately our servers have crashed due to the traffic, will be back soon," a message on its official site, satyamevjayate.in, read.
