Colors' "Sasural Simar Ka" recently completed five years of successful run. Dipika Kakar, who plays the lead role of Simar on the show, had organised a grand party for the entire cast and crew (including the previous cast). Jayati Bhatia, Manish Raisinghan, Shalini Sahuta, Vindhya Tiwari, Aaryamann Seth and Avika Gor were among the actors who attended the bash.

Some videos from the party have surfaced online wherein all the actors are seen dancing and having a lot of fun. However, Deeraj Dhoopar, who plays the lead role of Prem, was surprisingly missing from the bash. Apparently, the actor chose to give the party a miss as he and Dipika don't share a good bond.

Dheeraj, however, denied avoiding the bash because of Dipika, saying that he had to skip the party as he had an important meeting to attend. "Nothing like that. Actually, I had an important meeting to attend, due to which I couldn't make it to the party. I love my show and I definitely wanted to be a part of the celebration but unfortunately, couldn't make it," he told India Forums.

Also, Shoaib Ibrahim, who initially played the role of Prem, couldn't attend the bash. The actor, however, wished Dipika and the entire team of "Sasural Simar Ka" for the completion of five years on Twitter. "Congrtulation @ms.dipika @colorstv & d entire team of #ssk. Its a gr8 achievement 2 reach dis milestone of completing 5 yrs cheers 2 u guys, [sic]" Shoaib tweeted.

Avika, who recently quit the show, took to her Instagram page to thank her fans for showering their love throughout her journey on the show.

Dipika had earlier told IANS that she was looking forward to meeting and reconnecting with the people who were associated with the show and had personally sent out invitation cards to the entire team. "It's a way I'm looking at meeting old people who have been connected to the show be it technicians or actors and celebrating this whole day together," IANS had quoted Dipika as saying. "The idea actually is to get the onscreen and behind the screen family of 'Sasural Simar Ka' together and celebrate this day as it is a milestone we have achieved," she added.
