The makers of "Sarbjit" have released the film's poster, which features Randeep Hooda and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. Earlier, only Aishwarya featured in the first poster of the film and it seemed like the actress was overshadowing Randeep.

Since the beginning of the film, the former Miss World has got more attention than the main character of Sarabjit Singh. Fans were disappointed when the first poster of "Sarbjit" had Aishwarya, not Randeep. However, the makers have released a new poster, in which both the actors are present and this time, the "Rang Rasiya" actor overshadowed the diva.

Randeep, who has lost weight for this project, shocked fans with his first look last year. The Omung Kumar directorial features Randeep as Sarabjit, an Indian convicted of terrorism and spying by a Pakistani court. While he was awarded death sentence, Sarabjit died when his jail inmates attacked him in Lahore's Kot Lakhpat prison.

The film's story revolves around Sarabjit's sister Dalbir Kaur's (played by Aishwarya) brave and unending fight to release her brother from the Pakistani prison. This is Omung's second biopic after Priyanka Chopra-starrer "Mary Kom."

The movie also features Richa Chadha in the character of Sarabjit's wife and "Mary Kom" actor Darshan Kumaar in a pivotal role. He has been roped in to play Khalid Pervaiz, a Pakistani lawyer who fights Sarabjit's case.

While Aishwarya impressed viewers in her de-glam avatar, Randeep surprised fans with his first look. The handsome hunk looked so weak that his bones could be seen. It was from the scene when Sarabjit was in jail.

Later, a few stills were doing the rounds on the internet that showed Randeep all pumped up. Randeep had reportedly lost 18 kgs within 28 days to get into the character and then gained weight within 20 days as the director wanted to shoot a few flashback scenes.

The biopic is being produced by Sandeep Singh, Zeeshan Quadri and Omung Kumar. The film will hit the theatres May 20 and is expected to be released at the Cannes Film Festival as well.
