Allu Arjun-starrer "Sarainodu," also spelt as "Sarrainodu," has done good business at the Andhra Pradesh and Telangana (AP/T) box offices. In its first week, the film has recovered major part of its investment and is ready to get a 'hit' status at the collection centres.
"#Sarrainodu had a Superb 1st Week at the Box-office on the whole. Close to 80% Recovery already done!. Heading for a Super H!T, [sic]" Andhra Box Office tweets. Early estimates from the industry state that the film has grossed Rs. 70 crore in seven days at the worldwide box office.
As per a report published on Andhra Box Office, the five-day distributors' share stands at Rs. 29.17 crore in five days. The Nizam region contributed big by earning Rs. 9.59 crore. "Sarainodu" raked in Rs. 5.69 crore from the Ceded region, Rs. 1.17 crore from the Nellore region, Rs. 2.78 crore from the Guntur region, Rs. 1.92 crore from the Krishna region, Rs. 2.22 crore from the Godavari West region, Rs. 2.42 crore from the Godavari East region and Rs. 3.38 crore from the Vizag region.
"Sarainodu," which was released in 960 screens across AP/Telangana, is expected to do well in the weekends as the movie is being liked by family audience. Icing on the cake for the flick is that no big banner film has been released this weekend and this is likely to benefit the movie big time.
The Tollywood flick, which was released in over 1,600 screens around the world, had collected approximately Rs. 45.75 crore at the worldwide box office in the first weekend. It earned a decent share of Rs. 30.3 crore for its global distributors in three days. The film grossed Rs. 28.65 crore at the AP/T box offices in three days with distributors' share coming at around Rs. 21.72 crore.
It is an action-masala film, featuring Rakul Preet Singh and Catherine Tresa in the female leads. The movie has been written and directed by Boyapati Srinu and produced by Allu Aravind under the banner of Geetha Arts. S Thaman has composed the music, while Rishi Punjabi handled the cinematography.
