Sanjay Dutt was released from the Yerwada jail Feb.25, after having served a 40-month sentence. The "Munnabhai MBBS" actor was imprisoned after he was convicted in the 1993 Mumbai serial bomb blasts case for illegal possession of arms.

Sanjay's family and friends, including wife Manyata Dutt and filmmaker Rajkumar Hirani, were present outside the jail to receive him.

Before heading home in Pali Hill, he visited Mumbai's famous Siddhivinayak temple to offer prayers and then his mother Nargis Dutt's grave in Marine Lines.

While millions of Sanjay's fans are celebrating his release, Bollywood celebs too have welcomed Sanjay with open arms. Apart from celebs wishing the actor on social media, Shilpa Shetty Kundra and Ameesha Patel visited the actor's residence to welcome him.

Shilpa shared a picture of her with Sanjay and Raj Kundra on Instagram with a caption that read: "Our Gang, HE's BACK ,the Rockstar himself our darling Sanju, @duttsanjay Freedom at last!U deserve all the happiness after those hard timesGod is kind. #freedom #unconditional #friendship #patience."

Ameesha too shared a picture of her meeting the actor. "Awesome moment with my darling sanjay dutt today... Soooo happpppy to see him as a free man," she tweeted.
