Here's some good news for on-screen TV couple Sanaya Irani and Barun Sobti. The duo, who won hearts with their amazing chemistry in the popular show "Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon?", is likely to be back on television.
According to reports, the makers of "Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon?" will follow up Season 1 of the popular show with lead actors Barun and Sanaya with new episodes that will be aired on Star Plus. The actors will reprise their roles of Arnav and Khushi, respectively.
Interestingly, the plot of the show will continue from where Season 1 ended, and will be restricted to 25-30 episodes.
"The makers of 'Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon' are recreating the magical Season 1 again on the same channel: Star Plus. The show will feature Sanaya and Barun in the lead as Arnav and Khushi, and bring a continual sequence to the first season having the same team on board. Though, it will be a finite series of 25-30 episodes, and will mostly roll out by next month i.e. March," a source told India Forums.
However, TV heartthrob Barun is unaware of any such development.
Season 1 of "Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon?" was comparatively more popular than the other seasons. There were reports that it went off air after Barun had to leave the show owing to health issues. The show later featured on digital platform hotstar.
In other news, Sanaya tied the knot with long-time boyfriend Mohit Sehgal on 25 January in Goa. The lavish beach wedding was a low-key affair, attended by close friends and family.
