Samsung's rumoured tablet Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 has been reportedly spotted at the US telecommunications certification website, hinting its launch is just around the corner.
Technology website PhoneArena, while traversing through American government-owned FCC (Federal Communication Commission), has stumbled on a new Samsung Tablet, bearing SM-T320. In the archives, the tablet seems to measure 219 mm tall, 128 mm wide and feature Bluetooth LE (Low Energy) and Wi-Fi (802.11 a/b/g/n/ac).
Though the FCC document does not reveal the name of the tablet, it is speculated to be the Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 that was spotted at Zauba, an Indian cargo logistic website earlier this month. The device was exported from South Korea to India for testing and evaluation.
According to reports, Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 is expected to boast quad-core processor, 2GB RAM, dual-cameras (front and back) and run on either v4.3 Jelly Bean or v4.4 KitKat OS. It is rumoured to get unveiled in the upcoming international electronics trade fair CES (Consumer Electronics Show) 2014 in Las Vegas (January 7-10) and get released in markets around February.
Once launched, the new Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 is expected to take on archrival Apple iPad Mini.
In related news, Apple has filed a patent infringement lawsuit against Samsung. If the American company wins the case, Samsung will be liable to pay close to 900 million dollars penalty, and also face a sales ban on select handsets and tablets in the US.
