After weeks of speculations, a new report has emerged that Samsung's 10.1-inch Galaxy Tab 3 variant is confirmed to feature the Intel Processor chipset.

A source having knowledge of Samsung's plans told technology website Venture Beat that the upcoming Galaxy Tab 3 10.1 will pack an Intel Atom chip based Clover Trail processor.

Even though it is hard to believe that Samsung would choose the Intel chip over its company's very own Exynos chipset, the report seems to look legitimate as it comes close on the heels of Galaxy Tab 3 specifications leak from the popular benchmark site GFX bench. The leaked details showed a 10.1-inch Galaxy device, codenamed GTP5200, listed with Intel Clover Trail processor inside.

However, the rumour regarding Exynos 5 processor based Galaxy Tab 3 can't be ruled out so soon because the South Korean company has the habit of releasing device variants in different markets. A case in point is the Galaxy S4 which was released with two different chipsets in western and eastern markets.

According to earlier reports, Galaxy Tab 3 10.1 will feature 1280x800p display resolution and would run on Android v4.2.2 Jelly Bean OS.

The rumoured device is expected to make its debut at the electronic trade fair, Computex, at Taipei which is scheduled to take place during 4-8 June, 2013
