Samsung Smartphone Market Share Rises

South Korean major Samsung, after the successful launch of its Galaxy S4 smartphone on 26 April, is now shifting its focus on the budget phone segment. The Indian arm of the company has listed the low-cost Android Jelly Bean Galaxy Star smartphone on its official e-store.

Galaxy Star sports a QVGA TFT LCD screen with 320x240 pixel resolution and it runs on the Android mobile OS v4.1 Jelly Bean powered by a single-core processor. It packs 512MB RAM, 4GB internal memory which can be further expanded up to 32GB via microSD card.

Details regarding the price and the date of availability of Samsung Galaxy Star are yet to be revealed. The company had first unveiled Galaxy Star along with Galaxy Pocket Neo in early April.
