Samsung executive says the Galaxy S7 pre-orders are stronger than expected

Samsung's long rumoured Galaxy S7 edge Olympic edition will finally break covers later this month, if we go by the company's latest teaser video.

Samsung Germany (via Facebook) has posted a 17 seconds video hinting that the Galaxy S7 edge Olympic model will be unveiled on July 7.

In the video, a magic square box, which was used as prop in the official unveiling of Galaxy S7, is shown dancing to the tune of Brazilian carnival music and it ends with a tag- "Ge7 Ready" followed by date details 07.07.2016 and webpage link: Samsung.de/olympia, all but confirming that the new model will make its debut coming Thursday.

Upon taking a closer look of the video, we noticed that Samsung has painted numerical '7' in the "Ge7 Ready" tag, blue in colour, leading us believe the upcoming device will in sapphire shades.

Furthermore, prominent Tweeter spy, just a few days ago leaked black-hued Galaxy S7 edge Olympic model in blue and gold accents.

Once launched, Galaxy S7 edge Olypmic will be second special edition variant of the flagship smartphone.

In May, Samsung unveiled limited Batman-mobile-game-inspired Galaxy S7 edge "Injustice: Gods Among Us" edition.

Will Samsung Galaxy 7 edge Olympic have upgrades over the original model?

The new model will have same design language and internal hardware. Key difference will be the colouring. It is said to boast physical fingerprint sensor and speakers with gold-hued accents in the front. Whereas on the back, It is expected to feature a blue-coloured camera module on the top and a blue-hued Olympics sigil at the bottom.
