Samsung has finally unveiled its much-awaited flagship smartphone, the Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge after months of speculations and it came with almost all the features leaked prior to its announcement. Unlike its predecessor, the Galaxy S5, it came with a significant change from design to specifications.

Pros and Cons of Samsung Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge:

The Samsung Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge have similar features except their design with the latter sporting curved screen on right and left side.

Samsung has finally damped plastic for metal with its latest flagship smartphone, thus giving a premium look. It comes with metal frame and Gorilla Glass 4 back. The device also comes with wireless charging feature, which is why its rear is made of Gorilla Glass 4 as it is not compatible with metal. Users can now charge their phone at the comfort of their seat.

The new flagship smartphone is superior than its predecessor in almost every sphere, including specifications. What catches the eyes is however its 557 ppi (pixels per inch), which is the highest screen resolution of any smartphone.

The Galaxy S6 comes with features like 5.1-inch super AMOLED QHD with 2560x1440 resolution (557 ppi pixels per inch) and screen protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 4. It is powered by Exynos 7420 processor, run on Android 5.0 Lollipop, comes packed with 32GB, 64GB and128GB internal memory and LPDDR 3 3GB RAM, 16MP main camera with OIS (Optical Image Stabilizer) and 5.0MP front snapper, and 2550 mAh (S6) / 2600 mAh(S6 Edge).

On the flip side, the Samsung Galaxy S6 is said to be not waterproof unlike its predecessor though they claim that it has some water-resistance feature. It comes with 32GB, 64GB and 128GB internal memory but has done away with microSD card slot, which can disappoint some users.

The device also houses a non-removable 2550 mAh battery. The South Korean electronics giant claimed that the battery has long life but users will expect more. High screen resolution will also consume more power. Surprisingly, the company has the tradition of increasing camera pixel of its smartphones but it has stopped with the device by housing a 16MP camera, which is seen in its predecessor. However, it may be mentioned that camera in the new device comes with features like Quick Launch, Tracking AF, Auto Real-time HDR (Front & Rear) , F1.9, Low Light Video(Front & Rear), High Clear Zoom, IR Detect White Balance, Virtual Shot, Slow Motion, Fast Motion, Pro Mode and Selective Focus that will enhance users' experience.

The Samsung Galaxy S6 does have its pros and cons but on a closer look, it is a fantastic device that gadget lovers will love. In short, it is more of contentment than disappointment.
