The online media has been buzzing for the last few weeks with numerous speculations about the existence of the top-end Samsung Galaxy S5 Prime. And now, for the first time, pictures of the device have surfaced online, hinting that the launch is just around the corner.

Technology blog PhoneArena has gotten hold of the first photos of the Samsung's yet-to-be announced Galaxy S5 Prime. In picture-1, we see the smartphone's back side, sporting black-hued metal-finish (probably Aluminum) cover, having the ominous perforated surface, similar to the current Galaxy S5 model. The dotted texture is expected to give better grip over the phone.

If the device is closely observed, one can see that the camera module of the alleged Galaxy S5 Prime is different. The LED flash has been infused within the square camera module, unlike the current Galaxy S5, which houses the flash outside the module.

The other two snapshots show Galaxy S5 Prime's display with the home button at the bottom and speaker grill on the top centre but it's hard to ascertain whether the device has QHD (aka 2K) 2560x1440p resolution as being reported in the media. [To view the photo, click here]

The revelation comes just days after the report from South Korean media house Naver which claimed Galaxy S5 Prime is set to debut next month. The daily also went on to claim that the device would be priced 900,000 Won ($875/₹52,100).

Earlier this week, prolific twitter spy @evleaks also stated that the rumoured Galaxy S5 Prime (model number: SM-G906), heading to home market South Korea, will be available in five colour variants - black, white, gold, blue and sweet pink.

Galaxy S5 Prime is expected to boast a 5.2-inch 2K (2560x1440p) display and ship with the yet-to-be released Android update v4.4.3 KitKat.

Other expected specifications include 3GB RAM, 32GB, a 16.0-megapixel primary camera (with OIS, ISOCELL) and a 2.0-megapixel front camera. The phone is expected to come in two CPU variants - one with new Octa-core processor (Exynos 5430) with 2.1GHz quad-core Cortex A15 CPU & 1.5GHz quad-core Cortex A7 CPU backed by600MHz Mali T6XXX graphics engine and another variant with Snapdragon 805 series quad-core chipset with Adreno 420 GPU.

Samsung has chosen to stay silent over the numerous rumours floating in the media so far. Till the company decides to clear the air over the Galaxy S5 Prime, all reports will remain as mere speculations only.
