Online shopping website Tradus.com has exclusively opened the pre-orders of the 16GB variant of Samsung Galaxy S4 smartphone in India.
Samsung's next flagship smartphone in the Galaxy series, which was launched globally on 14 March in New York, will make its India debut in May.
"It becomes the first destination to launch pre-booking of S4, effective from March 18, 2013," Tradus said in a release, according to PTI.
The online shopping website has not mentioned the price of the device on their page. But IBN Live reported the website as saying that the device will be launched in India on 1 May for ₹45,000.
According to the information available on the Tradus.com, the devices will be delivered within 30 to 50 working days. The online site also mentioned on their page that pre-booking amount is ₹999/- which has to be paid while placing the order and the rest of the amount to be paid in full before the delivery of the device by the Tradus seller.
Earlier, another seller Souk India had started pre-orders for the 16GB variant of Galaxy S4 for ₹59, 990. The website shows that the maximum price of the Galaxy S4 19500 is ₹64,900 and it also claims to deliver the device within 45 days, The Times of India reported.
Customers have the EMI option to buy the device with monthly installments of ₹19,997 for three months. Several other shopping websites also announced the smartphone's availability but not at a whopping price.
The cost of the device in India is not revealed by the South Korean electronics giant, but technology websites like TechOne3 reported that the phone is expected to cost between ₹40, 000 to ₹45,000.
