Samsung is expected to officially launch the latest flagship in its popular Galaxy Note series, the Galaxy Note 7, in August. Several details about the Galaxy Note 7 have been leaked online, including the handset's price and some key specs, enough to keep Samsung fans excited until the official launch.

In the latest leak of the Galaxy Note 7 on Geekbench benchmarking site, a few key details of the handset were revealed and a separate leak hinted at the pricing of the upcoming flagship. According to SamMobile, industry sources revealed that the base variant of the flat-screened Galaxy Note 7 would be priced at €849, which is roughly Rs. 63,000 or around $940. The dual-edge variant will be priced on the higher side.

In terms of specifications, leaked Geekbench listing showed that the Galaxy Note 7, which carries the model number SM-N930V, will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 chipset with 4GB RAM and run Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow. However, rumours have it that the handset will be powered by at a Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 processor and Samsung's Exynos 8893 processor depending on the markets and feature 6GB RAM.

There is a lot of conflict on the specifications of the Galaxy Note 7, and nothing is certain until Samsung confirms the details at launch, which is expected to happen on August 2. While these leaked details give us a hint of what to expect from the new Samsung flagship, take them with a pinch of salt to avoid disappointment later.

This isn't the first time the Galaxy Note 7 appeared on a benchmarking database. It was recently spotted on AnTuTu with a rather disappointing configuration of Android Marshmallow, Snapdragon 820 quad-core CPU, 64GB storage, 13MP primary camera and a 5MP front snapper. Prior to that, Geekbench listing for SM-930F showed 3GB RAM and Samsung Exynos octa-core CPU under the hood.

Other details about the Galaxy Note 7 have also been revealed, but with minimal credibility. The 2016 flagship is expected to come with a 5.7-inch Quad HD (2K) display, an iris scanner, a USB Type-C port, an improved S-Pen with Bluetooth LE tech, a dual camera setup and a 3,600mAh battery.
