Some more details of Samsung Galaxy Note 5, including features and price, have surfaced as its release date gets close. A latest report has claimed that it will be cheaper than its predecessor Galaxy Note 4.

Even as Samsung has not confirmed the release date of Galaxy Note 5, it is almost certain that it will be unveiled at its "Unpacked 2015" event scheduled on 13 August before releasing into the market a few weeks later.

It was earlier reported that Galaxy Note 5 would be released at the IFA event in Berlin like its predecessors. However, the company seems to have changed the schedule to avoid a clash with the launch of Apple's iPhone 6s and 6s Plus.

It was reported that the upcoming Note device will have a glass back, hinting that it will not come with microSD card slot and removable battery, but some latest reports have contradicted it. According to Sogi (via GSM Arena), the dual-SIM version of Galaxy Note 5 will support microSD card and will be priced at TWD 23,900 (approximately Rs 48220), which is TWD 1,000 cheaper than Galaxy Note 4, which was priced at TWD 24,900 at the time of launch.

However, the aforementioned information provided by the Taiwanese website is not confirmed yet, as Samsung has not revealed anything officially about its upcoming device.

Samsung Galaxy Note 5 is expected to be released along with Galaxy S6 Edge+ and not Galaxy Note Edge as speculated earlier.

There are contradicting reports on the specifications of Galaxy Note 5. It is reported that it will come with a 5.4-inch or 5.5-inch Super AMOLED display, Exynos 7422 processor, 16 GB internal storage, 4 GB RAM, 16 MP main camera, 8 MP front snapper, 4,100 mAh battery and ejectable S-Pen.

On the other hand, Evan Blass (@evleaks) has tweeted that the device will come with features like 5.66-inch display with 560x1440 pixels, Exynos 7420 SoC processor clocking at 4x2.1GHz+4x1.5GHz, Android 5.1.1 Lollipop, 32 GB internal memory, 4 GB RAM, 16 MP main camera and 5 MP front snapper.

According to SamMobile, Galaxy Note 5 will sport a 5.67-inch Super AMOLED display with 2560x1440 pixels glass back and available in four colors - black, gold, silver and white.
