World smartphone leader Samsung has reportedly planned to release the much-awaited Galaxy Note 4 this week.

Mumbai-based smartphone retailer Mahesh Telecom (via Twitter) has confirmed that Samsung Galaxy Note 4 pre-order window is open and the flagship phablet will hit stores on 17 October in India. To corroborate the claim, he has released a graphic poster of Samsung revealing the release date details.

The South Korean company's move seems to go head-on with the arch-rival Apple, which has also confirmed to release iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 across India on the very same day.

As of now, Samsung is yet to respond to the Galaxy Note 4 release details rumours twirling on the Internet, but earlier in the week, the company did confirm to officially host a launch event for the device on 14 October. We are certain that the company will reveal all the relevant information along with price details in New Delhi on Tuesday.

Samsung has already got head start in India with the launch of Galaxy Alpha for ₹39,990, which is said to be the competitor to 4.7-inch Apple iPhone 6. On the other hand, Galaxy Note 4 is expected to take on the 5.5-inch iPhone 6 Plus.

One key advantage of Galaxy Note 4 over the iPhone 6 Plus is the value-added S-Pen stylus feature, which acts as a handy navigation tool on the big-screen. It boasts of Air Command (Action Memo, Smart Select, Image Clip, Screen Write, S Note, Snap Note and Direct Pen Input feature.
