World smartphone leader Samsung on Monday announced that it would host a big event in Berlin on 4 September, which many believe it to be the launchpad for the most anticipated Galaxy Note 3 phablet.

The press invite titled - 'SAMSUNG UNPACKED 2013 EPISODE 2' was released on the company's official social networking pages. The company also mentioned that the event will be streamed live on Samsung Mobile YouTube page and at New York's iconic Times Square.

The event is the second big announcement from the South Korean firm after the launch of Galaxy S4 in March at New York City.

According to reports, Galaxy Note 3 would sport a 5.7-inch Super AMOLED Full HD screen and run on Android v4.3 Jelly Bean OS powered by 2.3GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 quad-core processor paired with Adreno 330 graphics engine and 3GB RAM to support LTE Advanced network connectivity.

Another mentionable feature expected to be seen in the device is a 13.0-megapixel camera with Xeon flash support and full HD video recording. Like its predecessor, the upcoming third generation Galaxy Note phablet is also expected ship with stylus 'S Pen'.

It was also reproted that Samsung might launch second Galaxy Note 3 model with the in-house built Exynos 5420 Octa-core, just like Galaxy S4 which was also released with two variants in different markets across the globe.

Apart from Galaxy Note 3, the event is also reported to witness the launch of Samsung's smart watch 'Galaxy Gear'.
