World smartphone leader, Samsung is reportedly planning to release a new mid-range handset Galaxy Grand Neo in India next week.

Mumbai based electronics vendor, Manish Khatri has claimed that the recently unveiled Samsung Galaxy Grand Neo (I9060) stocks are expected to reach the India shore in couple of days and would go on sale soon for ₹18,190 (MRP: 19,010) in retail stores.

Samsung is yet to officially ascertain the launch of Galaxy Grand Neo in the subcontinent, but considering the fact that the Moto G is gaining lot of traction in the lucrative mid-range smartphone segment and ensuing jerk reaction from domestic players like Micromax, Lava, Xolo, Karbonn Mobile and others to flood the market with a slew of handsets, Samsung, the market leader has more reasons to launch an affordable feature-rich phone to ward-off competition from local vendors as well as the resurgent Motorola, which is on a comeback trail in India.

Galaxy Grand Neo sports 5.01-inch WVGA (480x800p) TFT screen and runs on the Android v4.2 Jelly Bean powered by 1.2GHz Quad-core processor with 1GB RAM and 16GB (expandable up to 64GB). It also houses 5.0-megapixel camera, 0.3-megapixel (VGA) front camera and 2010 mAh battery capable of running the smartphone for up to 430 hours under standby mode and close 11 hours of 3G talk time.

As of now, Galaxy Grand Neo has been only released in Nederland (Europe).
