It was initially reported that the Samsung Galaxy C5 and Galaxy C7 would be exclusive for Chinese market before several other reports suggested that they would be released outside China. It's more than a month since the handsets from the newly floated C-series were released, but there is no word of its launch in other markets.

The Galaxy C5 codenamed SM-C5000 was spotted on Zauba, a website that tracks imports and exports in India, and has been cleared by the Federal Communication Commission (FCC), sparking off speculations that it would be released along with the Galaxy C7 in India and other countries.

It was earlier reported that the devices would be released outside China after the launch of the Galaxy Note 7, but nothing much has been heard of them even weeks after the unveiling of the next-generation device. Interestingly, purported Samsung's upcoming devices like the Galaxy A8 (2016), Galaxy On5, On7 2016, Samsung Z2, and Galaxy Grand Prime (2016) are in the news off late.
