Samsung released the Galaxy C5 and Galaxy C7 handsets from its C-series in China last month. The company is not willing to reveal if the devices will be made available outside China, but it appears like the release will happen earlier than expected. It won't come as a surprise if the handsets are launched in India this week itself.

The South Korean technology giant is organising a media event in Bangalore, India, on Friday. The press invite just read "Witness the Next Chapter of Meaningful Innovations," not revealing what the company will showcase, but a source has said that the Galaxy J2 (2016) will be announced along with a few devices at the event.

The source didn't reveal the devices that will be released along with the 2016 version of the Galaxy J2 at the company's Friday event, but if there is more than a handset in line for launch, it could be the Samsung Galaxy C5 and Galaxy C7 in most probability.

The Federal Communication Commission (FCC) has cleared the devices, and the Galaxy C5 codenamed SM-C5000 has been spotted on Zauba, a website that tracks imports and exports in India, giving a clear hint that they will be released outside China.

The Galaxy C5 was released in China with a price tag of 2199 Yuan (around $335/Rs. 22,500) for the 32GB, and 2399 Yuan (around $365/Rs. 24,500) for the 64GB. It sports a 5.2-inch Full HD Super AMOLED display with 1,920×1,080 pixels, powered by an Octa-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 617 processor, and runs Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow operating system. The device also features a 32/64GB internal storage (expandable up to 128GB via microSD card), 4GB RAM, 16MP main camera with f/1.9 aperture, 8MP front-snapper with f/1.9 aperture, and a 2,600mAh battery with Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 technology.

The Galaxy C7 is priced at 2599 Yuan (around $396/Rs. 26,600) for the 32GB model, and 2799 Yuan (around $427/Rs. 28,600) for the 64GB. It sports a 5.7-inch full HD super AMOLED screen with 1,920x1,080 pixels, powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor, runs Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow, and comes packed with 32/64GB internal storage (expandable up to 128GB via microSD card) and 4GB RAM.
