Samsung's most powerful Galaxy A series phone, the Galaxy A9 Pro, made its global debut in China in late March. Just a few weeks ago, it got released in Malaysia, leading many to believe that the Samsung phablet will soon be made available in all international markets.
It has now come to light that Samsung does not have any such plans. The company is expected to retail the Galaxy A9 Pro only in select markets and might never sell outside Asia, SamMobile reported.
The good news is that the Galaxy A9 Pro will soon be made available in Vietnam, Philippines and Thailand.
Will Samsung Galaxy A9 Pro come to India?
So far, there is no official word on whether Samsung will release Galaxy A9 Pro in India or not, but we believe the phablet will hit stores in the country sooner or later.
India is world's second biggest and also the fastest growing smartphone market. Samsung is likely to launch the Galaxy A9 Pro here as the Indian market has enough demand in the phablet segment.
Chinese smartphone maker Xiaomi launched a 6.4-inch Mi Max in India in June and during the first flash sale conducted last week, it got sold in no time.
Even Samsung's 7.0-inch Galaxy J Max is confirmed to hit Indian stores for Rs.13,400 later this month. There is a possibility that the South Korean company may launch Galaxy A9 Pro as a top-end variant of Galaxy J Max.
