Snapshots of the Samsung Galaxy A8 have surfaced online just days ahead of the rumoured launch scheduled later this week.

Early this month, a report had emerged that Samsung is set to unveil the new metal-clad smartphone series Galaxy A8 in China on 17 July, and now images of the device have leaked online revealing design features, thanks to Twitter spy OnLeaks.

The leaked photo looks like a press render, and shows Galaxy A8 in six angles -- front, back and all its four edges (top, left, right and bottom). The images confirm that the new Samsung phone does indeed come equipped with metal chassis like the previous A series, but the new device features a slimmer body with curvaceous corners, which seems to be a little inspired from the flagship Galaxy S6 series.

The picture also reveala Galaxy A8's rear side featuring square shaped camera module (top center) with LED Flash to the right and speaker grill to the left with Samsung's engraving below.

On the front side, Samsung's phone houses a camera to the left and a couple of sensor to the right, at the top and the trademark home button at the bottom of the display. [View the leaked images of Galaxy A8, HERE]

Going by the details revealed from the images, we believe this press render snapped up by OnLeaks to be a real deal. That being said, Samsung is yet to respond to the report so we advise our reader to take this report with a proverbial grain of salt.

Expected Features of Samsung Galaxy A8: What we Know so Far

As per the latest reports, Samsung Galaxy A8 is said to feature 5.5-inch full HD display and run on the latest Android 5.1.1 Lollipop backed by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 615 Octa-core SoC (System on Chip), 2GB RAM, 16GB inbuilt memory, 16mp main camera and a 5mp snapper on the front.

Rumour has it that the Galaxy A8 might also feature the new improved finger-print scanner on the home button similar to the one we see in the current marquee phone Galaxy S6 (& S6 Edge).

It is also believed that the Galaxy A8 will cost around €439 ($489/₹31,100).
