At a time when Samsung is apparently getting ready to launch its new Galaxy A8 (2018) and Galaxy A8+ (2018) smartphones before the year end, the user manual for the upcoming phones has been uploaded on the company's website, revealing some key details about the unannounced mid-range handsets.

The Galaxy A8 (2018) and Galaxy A8+ (2018) have already been rumoured to come with dual front cameras. Now, the leaked manual has also confirmed the same for the new Galaxy A series. The presence of two front shooters also indicates that the camera app will have the Live Focus feature for selfies.

The manual mentions the standard international model numbers, SM-A530 and SM-A730, for both the Galaxy A8 (2018) and Galaxy A8+ (2018), respectively, clearly suggesting that the dual front cameras aren't exclusive to the Chinese variants. In addition, the camera app will also likely include the Galaxy S8's live stickers.

The duo will also come with Bixby support, but without a dedicated launch button.

The manual also confirms the inclusion of Infinity display, with on-screen navigation keys being featured on a mid-range Samsung phone for the first time.

There is also a rear fingerprint sensor located just below the primary camera. According to SamMobile, this can be a strong indication that the Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ could also have similar traits as "the in-display fingerprint sensor technology still only a distant possibility."

We've also learned that both the Galaxy A8 (2018) and Galaxy A8+ (2018) will be available in single and dual-SIM variants, and will feature audio jack ports besides the usual Type-C.

The manual didn't reveal further details about specs, other than the fact that the phones will run Android 7.1.1 Nougat and support Samsung Pay over both Near Field Communications (NFC) and Magnetic Secure Transmission (MST).

The leaked manual coincided with the appearance of the Galaxy A8+ (2018) in an alleged hands-on video, showing the phone from all sides. The person, handling the device in the three-minute video, also offered the full list of specs.

According to him, the Galaxy A8+ (2018) will feature a 6-inch Super AMOLED full HD (2220 x 1080 pixels) Infinity Display, a single 16MO camera with f/1.7 aperture and optical image stabilization, a dual-camera on the front with 16MP and 8MP snappers, a 2.2GHz octa-core Exynos 7885 processor, 6GB of RAM and 64GB of expandable memory (up to 256GB).

In addition, the phone will be packed with a 3,500 mAh battery with fast charging, and will feature IP68 certification for water and dust resistance.
