Salman Khan's "Sultan" is the most awaited upcoming Bollywood movie of 2016, according to a survey based on public opinion by Ormax Media.

Ormax Media conducted a survey on the forthcoming Bollywood films in 2016 (whose trailers are yet to be released) and has come up with the top 5 most awaited movies of this year (as of 23 January).

There are many anticipated movies this year, but Salman's "Sultan" has bagged the top position in the list of most awaited Hindi film of 2016. "Sultan", which will present Salman as a wrestler, is followed by Aamir Khan's "Dangal", which is also based on the life of a wrestler.

Shah Rukh Khan has two much anticipated movies this year -- "Raees" and "Fan", which claimed the third and fourth slots, respectively, on the list. Multi-starrer comedy film "Housefull 3" is the fifth most awaited movie of the year, as per the survey.

Salman will be seen playing the role of a wrestler from Haryana in "Sultan" that is being directed by Ali Abbas Zafar. The film also features Anushka Sharma in the female lead. The actor has been prepping hard for the role as he needs to get his physique bigger and also has to learn wrestling techniques. The film is slated to be released on Eid.

On the other hand, Aamir's "Dangal" is based on the life of legendary wrestler Mahavir Singh Phogat. The actor has gained a lot of weight to fit into the role and he will be seen as father of two daughters, played by Fatima Sana Shaikh and Sanya Malhotra. Sakshi Tanwar will play the role of Aamir's wife in the film. "Dangal" will hit the screens on 23 December.

Meanwhile, Shah Rukh too has been busy shooting for "Raees" and "Fan". Directed by Rahul Dholakia, "Raees" will present SRK as a bootlegger and is based on the backdrop of Gujarat in 1980s. It also features debutant Mahira Khan and Nawazuddin Siddiqui. "Raees" and "Sultan" are slated to clash at the box office as the two films are expected to be released around the same time on Eid.

On the other side, Shah Rukh will portray the roles of both a fan as well as the superstar that he is. Directed by Maneesh Sharma, "Fan" will be released on 15 April. Akshay Kumar-starrer "Housefull 3" will feature Abhishek Bachchan, Riteish Deshmukh, Jacqueline Fernandez, Nargis Fakhri and Lisa Haydon. It is the third installment of the film "Housefull" (2010).
